The Story and the Science
Behind The Perfect Noggin

The Perfect Noggin was created in Boston, at a prestigious Harvard-affiliated pediatric hospital. The initial design was a custom-molded foam block called the “cup”, which was the subject of the first study cited below. While the cup was very effective in promoting normal head shape and contour, it required weekly contouring by a licensed orthotist and the travel and time required became very burdensome for many families. Our team sought to develop a more user-friendly infant sleep surface for head shaping and the result was the PlagioCradle, the most extensively studied product of its kind.
The PlagioCradle featured a supportive torso system for optimal head-neck-torso alignment and a patented set of removable layers that allowed parents to adjust the fit as their newborn's head grows. For over a decade, the PlagioCradle was successfully used throughout New England, and its effectiveness has been confirmed in multiple peer-reviewed scientific studies.
Building on this legacy, The Perfect Noggin incorporates all the best features of its parent product in an even more ergonomic and streamlined design.
The Perfect Noggin design safely and effectively promotes normal cranial growth and shape in infants.
But don’t take our word for it—let the research, results, and countless happy families convince you. The world's only adjustable, contoured alternative resting surface, The Perfect Noggin is without equal for safety, proven effectiveness, and parent satisfaction.
